Chris Young: The Newest and Youngest Opry Member

Chris Young is going to become the next (and youngest) member of the Grand Ole Opry!!!

Chris Young

On August 29, Chris Young was asked by Vince Gill in the coolest way possible. Chris and Vince were already there to celebrate their #1 single, “Sober Saturday Night”, and both were on the lineup to perform that night as well. Vince wanted to talk to Chris though, on stage, about why he still hasn’t gotten paid for being on “Sober Saturday Night” with him. The only way it could be settled is, if Chris accepted the invitation to become the NEXT Member of the Grand Ole Opry.

And well, you can see how it all went down in the video below from the Grand Ole Opry’s Youtube page.

Congratulations Chris Young! We can’t wait to see you inducted into the Opry Family on October 17!
